Providing local leaders tools to make informed water resource, stormwater and wastewater decisions

The Local Officials Community Water Curriculum (LOC) delivers high-quality water education directly to local officials in your community. This comprehensive curriculum provides community leaders with valuable information to make informed decisions about the water infrastructure issues facing their community.

The Local Officials Curriculum Program offers over 35 different education courses taught by experts on water quality, including such topics as:

Stormwater
Land Use & Planning
Water Resources
Construction
Flooding
Wastewater
Agriculture
Stream Health
Ordinance review for stormwater & land use practices

In addition, the Local Officials Curriculum Program facilitates public education and outreach such as stream clean-ups, nature walks, and classroom instruction on a variety of water resource issues.

All courses are available to meet the needs of your community – from summary programs for council meetings to all day technical trainings for commissions, staff, development professionals and the general public.
