Goodletsville Clean Up
In April of this year the LOC program teamed up with the Goodlettsville Public Works Dept to clean up Mansker’s Creek. Tornadoes had ripped through the community in the spring of 2006 and the creek was still littered with debris from that event. We even had an arborist climb 100 foot Sycamore trees and cut out siding from destroyed buildings. Members of church that was destroyed in the tornado came out to help along with Public Works employees and many students from Hunters Lane Comprehensive High School. A good time was had by all!

Know what the major Cumberland River pollutant is? Well, it is the DIRT and
the other "stuff" from our yards, our roofs and our driveways that runs off
every time we have a good rain.
If we all kept our dirt in our own yards, the river would be a lot healthier
and safer for everyone.
Visit the Sediment page to learn more about Muddy Waters and what YOU can do
to keep your dirt at home.
